Turpak, the vehicle recognition and automation company that has played a pioneering role in the development of the fuel sector for 24 years, closed 2022 with records broken in every department. In 1 year, the company traveled a total of 3.7 million kilometers with all its departments and field team and served 6 thousand fuel stations. With the authorization of EMRA, the company carried out 10 thousand camera and 140 thousand pump and tank equipment seals, while the Audit Department provided 600 thousand controls in 12 thousand inspection visits. Since 1999, Turpak has introduced automation technology to the fuel sector through the "Vehicle Identification System". In 2022, the company broke records in every department in all services provided both in the field and from the headquarters. In 2022, the company reached the highest number of jobs in the sector to date, traveling 1.2 million kilometers with 32 regional services and 4 mobile teams, serving 6 thousand stations with 20 thousand work orders, while installing 10 thousand cameras and sealing 140 thousand pump-tank equipment with zero accidents within the scope of EMRA's decision number 13338. Turpak's capacity in logistics operations increased by 250 percent, with an average daily shipment of 400 pieces, while 88 percent of orders were shipped to the field on the same day.
12 thousand inspections, over 1 million kilometers of road, 600 thousand controls
Turpak's Inspection Department, on the other hand, conducted 12 thousand inspections last year, covering more than 1 million kilometers, inspected an average of 50 control points at each station site and conducted 600 thousand inspections during the year. All inspections were instantly shared with fuel companies, and risks and accidents were reduced to zero. Again last year, 96 percent of the 315 thousand calls received by the Technical Services Department were resolved, while 87 percent were resolved remotely with online support. The Technical Support Department visited an average of 2,500 stations on site per month, and performed automation control unit operating system and hardware version updates at over 4,000 stations.
163 critical incidents detected, 76 percent were fuel leaks
EMRA and the Alarm Reconciliation Department detected critical incidents at 126 stations in 2022. During the year, 850 stations were examined in depth and suspicious situations and manipulative actions were identified. 43 stations were identified as suspicious. In 76 percent of critical incidents, installation, pump and tank leaks were observed.
Record high in vehicle assembly, number of vehicles with vehicle recognition reaches 3.3 million
Turpak, the pioneer of vehicle recognition technology, also set a new record in vehicle assembly. Having installed an average of 1,075 vehicles per week, 7,500 vehicles per week and 32,550 vehicles per month in 2022, the company set a new record last year by installing a total of 390,900 vehicles with vehicle recognition technology. In this way, thanks to the work of the field team, which travels 1.5 million kilometers a year, 3.3 million vehicles across the country have accessed the vehicle recognition system with Turpak technology.
